I dyed my hair purple when I was in middle school and when I showed up to school they made me dye it to a natural color which totally fried and ruined my hair since I just recently dyed it! Hair is a way of expression and people should not have to change themselves for school.

Unnatural hair color isn't distracting at all, I had it for a while and many other people do too, It's a person's hair, they should be able to do what they want with it, It's like saying "Nope, you can't get that haircut. Why? Because I don't like it!"

Why is this even banned seriously it's hair. They shouldn't be punished for expressing themselves. They aren't hurting anyone.

Children should never feel ashamed for expressing themselves. If dying thier hair gives them an ounce of happiness, it should be given to them, There are enough stresses in thier lives. After all, it's thier hair, and they should be able to decorate or style it anyway they want. School isn't for controlling children, it is for educating. Educate them on the harms of hair dye, and let them excersise thier minds and decide for themselves wether they want to dye thier hair or not. After all, they have free will.

sorry fake name ^^ I've wanted my hair to be dyed navy blue for ages (don't ask I just like the colour) but my hairs too dark for temporary (for half term) and our schools strict rules won't let me use permenant (a lot stronger and probably have a better possibility of success) No but seriously, my friend was sent home because her hair was ombré and like??
