This ban is a shameless 'quick win' to portray that India is addressing a surrogacy system that has been left unregulated for decades. These dubious practices have already moved to Nepal and the further underground we drive this, the more room there is for exploitation.

Banning stops the human rights of 2 people who wish to enter a mutual arrangement. If they are so concerned about exploitation then put in some safeguarding laws and legislations. But an outright ban is far too draconian and a backwards step in a modern society in my opinion.

Please do not ban surrogacy. I have a surrogate child and seen first hand how this arrangement benefits both sides. Please regulate it more thoroughly but don't ban it!

A ban on Surrogacy does more harm than good to numerous childless couples and to the surrogate mothers. If anything, the process must be regulated and simplified! Please lift the ban!

Only troubled experienced,or last chance in reality reaches surrogacy, which helps both, the surrogate and childless couple, like us. Try to understand our endless struggle, ordeal, pain, inprocess to help others. How is this bad or wrong! "Where is your common sence"-wake up their is the same human life out there in the universe of both India and U.K. I strongly agree with surrogacy, There is no harm done, in anyway.

Banning surrogacy sounds ridiculously stupid to be honest... I mean seriously, if both parties agree who are you to tell them it's wrong?
Ban on surrogacy won't solve any "problems" but it sure will cause many, think about all those heartbroken families for example... great families that could give a child a happy childhood but will be forced to lead empty lives... Get your thoughts straight!

It is very sad that the government is thinking of banning Surrogacy. in India. It would mean so many heartbroken couples who desperately want to have a child to love and raise.
