I cannot subscribe to your theory that there is a shortage of spaces. There has always been room around by us and we have been going for 14 years. Very disappointing

Poor decision - your location and weather makes them essential. We come as a group from all over and while we love the music on offer catching up around the tents is a big part of the trip - we shall have to find somewhere else to do that!

We will not be able to come as a family of five without some sort of shelter from the famous Welsh weather! Not everyone has tents big enough to sit a family in and we can't all take our children to sit in the bar areas or covered performance areas. This new rule would be it very difficult for us to to come and enjoy Green Man as we have done 6 or 7 times previously. Please reconsider! We've never seen any event shelters left behind!

We need shelter and communal places to spend time together and rest up between music and escape from the rain. It is great to see people hanging out together in groups and forms a big part of the relaxed atmosphere of GM don't force us all into beer tents (which we aren't even allowed to sit down in I was told by security last year). I don't see why shelters are less re-usable than tents.

Terrible decision Green Man! I’ve being going to GM since 2008 and having a gazebo as a communal area has been essential for the years that have had heavy rainfall. It also adds so much to the enjoyment of the festival experience by being able to take time out with friends. Not to mention the comments made by others of the safety risks in having to cook in tents! This year we also witnessed a very rude (and in my opinion, heavy handed) member of security trying to throw people out of the Mountain Bar when it was chucking it down on the Friday if they weren’t buying drinks. The bar wasn’t even full at the time and we were just trying to eat under shelter before buying a drink. Don’t go the way of other festivals and lose your charm GM!

What makes green man’s atmosphere is communal space around tents and the fact that it hasn’t sold out to cramming as many people in for as much profit as possible. Please don’t change that!

This crazy decision stops families and groups being able to cook safely and shelter from the weather. Park of the joy of GM is the community feel and GM are ruining this with a poorly justified decision

Please don’t ruin the essence of Green Man experience! We camp as a group, 40+ tickets, and having communal space is critical. If you want to reduce trash, ask festival goers to be more responsible. Please don’t kill the experience. This feels more like a plot to increase food sales inside rather than reduce waste.

By the way, if you don't do settlers, you can't get a blue car park ticket either. A very long walk to meet up with settler friends.

I’ve been coming to the Greenman festival for 12 years and I’m so unbelievably saddened and disappointed with this news. We would not be able to do the settlers week again with our young family or even a long weekend without the extra shelter. Greenman please reconsider this terrible decision!!

Absolutely necessary for families like ours coming for settlers week, or even a long weekend. I would not attend settlers again if no gazebos were allowed

Been coming to Green Man for 10+ years. Having to cope in the Welsh weather with young children and nowhere to shelter apart from our relatively small tent is seriously making me reconsider what was a previously nailed-on earlybird 2020 purchase.

Ridiculous. Don't expect this from Greenman. We've been going to Greenman since the Baskerville Hall days but will consider taking our Gazebo to a more accomodating festival if this is the case. Where are we supposed to feed hungry kids when it is pouring down with rain?
