Large scale medical marijuana cultivation in residential neighborhoods should also be prohibited. All of the arguments against retail residential grows are equally applicable to medical grows in our neighborhoods.

I oppose ANY commercial cultivation in Nederland residential zoned neighborhoods. I oppose any further SRUs for commercial projects in Nederland residential neighborhoods.

The marijuana industry must stay in commercial districts. MJ in residential neighborhoods (especially the only place in the US) will turn Nederland into a grow factory and will kill our community.

A commercial marijuana grow operation in a rented house in the Big Springs Subdivision is a bad idea, which will negatively affect the neighborhood. I bought in this residential neighborhood almost 10 years ago-to provide my family a healthy and safe neighborhhood to grow up in. A commercial business in a residential neighborhood is not what I bought into. It is not compatible land use and goes against the purpose of zoning in the first place. Keep my neighborhood for families and do not allow the expansion of this grow house to commercial scale that includes production for recreational marijuana use. Thank you.

The worst thing the town of Nederland could do. Mixing drug growing into neighborhoods with kids and families. Every house for sale in town could become the next Pot Grow Operation. Property values will decrease and the city of Ned will be responsible.

The TEENS, Inc. Board of Directors officially moved to urge the planning commission to deny this request. The request does not fit with the surrounding use; may not be congruent with the town zoning code; and further promotes the normalization of marijuana - an unhealthy message for the youth in this community.

So many families have left Nederland because of lack of housing. This will aggravate the problem as well as create new ones for home owners with or without children. Their are safety issues such as the use of butane and also people coming and going which will increase crime and decrease our ability to neighborhood watch.
The choice is do you envision Nederland as a family friendly town or as town known mainly for pot cultivation and sales?A town which caters to the needs of families or the needs of growers?
