This is such a bad idea on so many humans levels. Not to mention that should it be constructed it will no doubt cost a ridiculous sum of money better spent elsewhere and it will of run years and years past the estimated date of completion, ruining peoples lives. NO!

This is a completely disruptive and unnecessary project on an all residential block, and will expose all nearby residents to noise, air polution and EMF exposure! MTA, please have a better plan and move it to non-residential nearby block!

Regarding MTA’s plans to build an electrical power substation on 28th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, I’m hoping this will not go ahead as the proposed site is a heavily populated residential & inappropriate for such a project.

This is an outrageously disruptive, unhealthy, and completely unnecessary project on an all-residential block when there are much more rational and appropriate alternative location options, like at 31st and at 33rd Streets where construction is already in progress and where those streets are far less residential. PLEASE DO NOT activate this plan and project. Thank you!

MTA wants to put a substation on 28th Street and 8 Avenue, one of the most densely populated areas in midtown Manhattan. Our population consists of a large number of seniors and children. This will be an impossible situation for our residents. Not only will it be noisy and dangerous for our residents, this project can destabilize our buildings as they have no basements!

This construction or project will basically make my residential unit and others uninhabitable. Who will pay for tenants who want to relocate to other buildings in the development due to mainly legitimate health and safety concerns ? Has anyone verified how strong this building foundation is? How will this affect the value of the property?
