This is a terrible idea for our neighborhood. We do not want this substation here on 28th Street.

Unspeakable that such a dangerous construction project is being foisted on a vulnerable residential community without public hearing. Long term danger of a power station in our NORÇ also terrible consequence, A 3+ year construction project cannot be permitted to be yet another dangerous and onerous assault that has been snuck in by collusion of big real estate interests and the MTA. We the residents of Penn South say NO!

I’m a resident of Penn South living on 9th Ave 28 St. The substation location with the disruptions caused by yet another construction project will make walking difficult for seniors like my wife and me. Construction creates health and environmental concerns due to dust, noise and rats which have a direct impact on us. I oppose the 28th MTA Substation construction. Please move it to a non residential area or one where current construction is planned so this project can be incorporated elsewhere.

New York City is still trying to save money by cutting promised retiree health benefits! They are trying to switch retirees from Medicare (paid for by federal legislation) to an inferior privatized Medicare Advantage plan! They are trying to reduce current employee health benefits by at least 10% resulting in diminished benefits for all!

For people who work night shifts and have to sleep in the daytime, a long term construction project like this is especially negative for a healthy quality of life. Likewise for senior citizens who may need rest in the daytime. A very densely populated residential neighborhood is not an appropriate place for an electrical power substation.

Politicians land grabbers the Penn Station expansion they're out of control they care nothing about the quality of life of the residents of New York City all they care about is land grabbing commercial space and tourists anything with any style or character will soon be demolished to be replaced by commercial towers substations and plastic towers

Near 75 yr old adult with post911 respiratory issued expects to spend rest of life dealing with health issues related to nearby tear downs & construction - this MTA substation project is insult piled on injury.

The impact to our community is significant. A high voltage substation should not be near a residential block.

I oppose this proposal. The additional construction will add more to the noise and air pollution. At present time we are surrounded by construction. I have noticed I am constantly coughing, have more respiratory issues such as allergies, irritated eyes just to name a few.
