If this goes through I suggest funding a mariachi band to follow the President of the MTA for exactly 11 hours a day, 6 days a week, for the next 3 years at start of construction.

Livi g on a block with an MTA facility (administrative & operational) I am in a ppsitiom to offer a virtual gaurantee that ea h nightmare predicted will come true and only be worse in reality. Three years will pass but the construction will continue on & on. The street & sidewalk will be dug up for repairs & maintenence adjustments . If any private parking (even metered) was ever permited, it will be eliminated - not due to the construction but to give MTA employees full & free access for their vehicles. There will be noise in the middle of the night and callin g 311 will not help. There will be vermime, huge waste cannisters outside the building, orange plastic cones & yellow plastic tape. Those are only the obvious negative ways that the fruition of this MTA project would impact the e isting community.

I am a business owner (dental office) very near this proposed substation and this will be extremely detrimental to my business. Going to the dentist is already stressful, the noise of jackhammering will only add more anxiety to my patients, interfering with my delivery of necessary health care.

There are many seniors here, a school and social services being provided. The substation should be in a commercial area – not where people live.

I strongly oppose the substation, I live on the lower floor and works from home, I cannot have the ongoing noise and disruptions. Not to mention the health risks from the electromagnets.

This substation simply does not belong in a completely residential, densely populated neighborhood.

This is a residential street occupied by a naturally occurring retirement community and there is an elementary school at the end of the block. Construction of the substation here is a danger to residents. There are numerous non residential sites in the immediate area. The Penn South board and community are fully and strongly opposed to the use of this site which was chosen WITHOUT community input.

The MTA has better options in terms of location and has shown virtually no regard for a highly residential area.
