It would be good if we could propose another location for the substation that wouldn't pose a danger for anyone. We need to demonstrate that we not concerned only about the PennSouuth community, but about anyone, in any area. Otherwise it will look like we are only concerned about ourselves and that we don't care if they build the substation in another neighborhood endangering other people's health.

This MTA substation proposed in the middle of a highly populated residential area that is also home to Penn South, a naturally occurring retirement community, poses huge health dangers and quality of life issue now and in the years to come. Our community had NO voice in this and it poses many risks to not only current residents and neighbors, but future residents and neighbors. Please stop and consider the health and quality of life to all current residents and future generations, seniors, those with health issues, and those with disabilities. Please do the right thing and do not build this here.

Why do we need a substation on W28th street when there is already a station on W25th street? Does the MTA have too much money? Then how about using that money to install the platform barriers so people don't get pushed off?
