Not on the residential block of 28th between 8th and 9th. Quality of life is a big issue.

Plz reconsider the proposed substation location in our harmonious long term planned community; a densely populated residential family neighborhood which would be negatively impacted by the introduction of a saturated electro magnetic field in our midst - where children now play & elders gather for quiet, safe activities. Indeed, a substation abutting our fully occupied cooperative homes would surely be better suited to a commercially zoned area.

As a Penn South resident, I am strongly opposed to this project and what it would mean for our neighborhood. There are better locations available for this substation that would not mean destroying the quality of life of hundreds of people.

What a terrible idea! This kind of project should be banned from high density residential areas, especially when there are non-residential alternatives.

These very strong power stations emit dangerous EMF Signals ( that can also be cancer causing ) within 700 feet or more and can penetrate walls. This station can be placed across the street near the park where residents are farther away. Please keep our neighborhood safe and peaceful

This construction project is highly unethical and inconvenient for the general public and well being of our neighborhood; please reconsider where this substation will be, as I, along with the residents of buildings 7-9 concur that this project will be a nightmare for those of us living in the area. Hoping that our elected representatives will receive our messages and reach out to the MTA, and let them know what's up.

3 years of construction, dust and noise pollution for the residents for life! No thank you! Move it to a less dense living area. How about moving it to your neighborhood?

As a Penn South resident, I strongly oppose this construction.
This is my residence and I work from home.
Quality of life of all building tenants will be ruined for the rest of our lives. Majority of tenants including me, do not have financial means to move elsewhere.
This is ill conceived project that disregards well-being of NYC residents

This project has been targeted in the middle of over 900 apartments on West 28th St and 8th Avenue. The impact of this project if it were relocated to West 27th Street , between 7th and 8th Ave) would affect a fraction of permanent dwellings and only a handful of commercial/retail locations. OR the project could easily be relocated to West 31st Street if a new Penn Station is being built there.

You’re aiming to do this right next to the only green recreation area in the neighborhood, a place where people of all ages can relax and where children come to play. Seems criminal.
