Please move this project to a less residential Street nearby! There are many!!! This is a danger to people that live right over this are. I have experienced the noise from substations and it is terrible. Not to mention the danger of the radiation!!!! This is another case of the rich being protected while regular people suffer. 28th street is beautiful please stop this!!!!

Do not do this on a residential street. You say "Penn South doesn't own the underground," but apparently real estate and corporate interests own any politician who goes along with this plan. I'm sick of lip service. Any politician who goes along with this will never receive my vote.

This location is on the whole inappropriate and the reasons cited by the MTA - namely, a more convenient site during construction - are far outweighed by the negative impacts to the surrounding community. The substation should be constructed in the original location east of 8th Avenue, or on 31st or 33rd St.

Please don't build the electrical power substation at this location.

n't thee already enough subways and substations in this vicinity? there's a substation already on 25th Street and Eighth Avenue (both sides), and 23rd and eighth Avenue (both sides), as well as subway entrances and substations at 28th Street and Seventh Avenue (downtown and uptown), both sides, as well. Enough is enough! Why break up and torture a singularly middle-class community that serves people of all ages, with residences, food banks, senior citizen centers, and that has enough subway stations that serve the area?! Stop this idiocy!!! Any elected official that does not oppose this substation should be remembered every Primary and Election Day from hereon!!! We will not forget!
