This construction should not take place until a thorough public review of the health consequences for residents and the effects of the construction itself on the surrounding buildings in the local community can be done.

There are other locations that won’t disrupt one of the last communities on the west side - with families, children, many geriatric residents. Be for the people, not the corrupting dollar.

This is a residential neighborhood, not a construction site. This project needs to be built in a non-residential area.

This is just terrible!!! I remember residents of Penn South welcoming me and my very young son to play at their playgrounds even though we did not live there. This is not an area where the MTA or any rational person should build a substation!

My whole block where I live is in danger of being destroyed including St John"s the Baptist Church for a fatally flawed and Big Real Estate Special Interest driven Penn Station Expansion. Now the MTA wants to also destroy part of a densely populated residential developments that still has some beautiful green space in midtown. When will this urban renewal madness ever end?

Substation should be constructed NORTH and EAST of 28th and 8th - to any more commercial, more touristic, less residential midtown location.

Please, please change the location for the substation! It will create a major health hazards for residents, whose apartments, just like mine, will be facing it. The EMFs created by it will subject some predisposed individuals to potential serious illnesses. Such dangerous projects should not be constructed on a highly residential street, with lots of vulnerable residents.

It’s a bad situation. I hope the MTA reassess and builds in a less populated area.

This project simply does NOT belong on a densely populated residential block. Make a wiser and less negatively impactful location choice.
