I'm a parent of two boys who are participants of SBBGC. I know what the city dearly need is a basketball arena, not an ice arena judging the number of kids who participated in the game, and the fame the sport have brought the entire county. We already have an ice arena in Allen pond, why waste tax payers $ on another one.

Why would you spend 28 million dollars on a project that benefits more out of town families than your own? Are you really expecting a financial, emotional or health benefit for your community? If so, which part of your community?
I think you would be better served with a mult-use facility. It may bring different enthnicities together under one roof.

We would prefer some type of Sportsplex or Rec center that all the kids and adults can benefit from. There is already an Ice Rink in Bowie.
