A more multi faceted athletic facility will benefit the city of Bowie.

In this climate? Economy in the tank. Money should be used for new school.

There are other priorities the city should address before building an ice rink. A multi use facility that has a swimming pool, tennis courts and other items would benefit the community.

Granted that the arena would bring dollars to Bowie from practices and competitions, what percentage of the citizens will be using it? This project will bring horses of traffic to Bowie next along at least 4 housing communities and streets (Church Road! Fairwood Parkway! Woodmore Road! 450!!!). Some are not inclusive to Bowie City proper but reside right on the line. Again, no plans for major road infrastructure (think 197 in just a Bowie “rush hour” and school buses) and I’m sure no repairs from the increased traffic. Ugh! And the trash!! We are experiencing bulk trash strewn about during this pandemic because of no bulk pickup. There is not enough room for me to speak to this while tapping on my phone. Please re-evaluate the use of this land for something more inclusive for the community, especially for those who pay the Bowie taxes.

Please do not make Church Road more dangerous. We do not need this in Bowie.

We don't need to spend money on this now.

We would like our tax dollars to be used only on items that our beneficial and useful to the youth in our community. This doesn’t necessarily fall in line with that vision during a pandemic.

Too costly and the current ice arena is sufficient.

Need to cater to Bowie residences. We do not need Ice Ring, we need indoor basketball, volleyball and swimming. Its important to cater to what Bowie kids!!! - Basketball, Volleyball and Swimming!!!

Indoor - Volleyball, soccer and basketball is what we need. We also need swimming. We have the ice arena already.

NO Ice Rink. Fiscally irresponsible. Not all encompassing to serve the diverse needs of the community.

I’m all for having recreational benefits to our town, but this is too costly at this time.

Please consider the already traffic-congested roads for residents in our beautiful, quiet community. We need to spend more for small parks for our kids, or a large community center with multiple sports, not an arena for use by children from other communities. Keep Bowie as one of the top places to live in the US. An ice arena takes funding away from our children.

Not the time for an ice rink!

There are far more useful things that our kids need than an ice rink. How about a basketball gym and public swimming pool???

Vote ‘NO’ for the rink. I’m a City of Bowie resident, District 3. Although my daughter is a nationally competitive synchronized ice skater, we do NOT need this rink here and now. It is fiscally irresponsible right now, not to mention it does NOT serve the variety of needs of the citizens. City of Bowie needs a multipurpose complex that promotes wellness.

Not the best investment of our tax dollars.
