Completely oppose this building. After the noise and congestion caused by construction, it will make an otherwise pleasant neighborhood nearly impossible to park in and ruin the views that we enjoy. How can the developer get away with violating existing zoning restrictions? Hopefully Ald. Martin will resist the rubber stamp approval that so many other Chicago politicians use to make money.

As a resident of this neighborhood since 2017, I can attest to the dire parking situation that already exists here. I have frequently had to call 911 to report Guaranteed Rate employees parking without permit on our streets when I could not find parking myself. The situation is so bad that I frequently see cars parked in front of fire hydrants for hours with their blinkers on, cars parked in temporary loading zones all day, and delivery trucks with no where else to go are forced to double park, clogging the streets. There is no reason aside from corporate greed to turn a small lot originally zoned for 9 units into a 62 unit monstrosity. If this is approved, it will greatly decrease quality of life in the surrounding area and make an already difficult parking situation truly impossible. Please do not approve this zoning request!
