Please do not move forward with the 1800 W Berniece project. I strongly object to this and the congestion it would cause our corner of the neighborhood.

I am strongly opposed to this existing plan. I'm a neighbor and this proposed development is not in keeping with the nature of this largely residential neighborhood. There is not enough parking, the streets are one-way, and the building is not historic in character like the other buildings on Ravenswood. Already there is a building at Larchmont and Ravenswood that is the Guaranteed Rate office and when they have rooftop parties, you can hear it all over the neighborhood. I've seen other mixed use small office space, small apartment concept buildings in Chicago become airbnb magnets, with lots of people coming to stay for a short time, which leads to lower sense of responsibility to the area and neighbors. Again, strongly opposed.

The engagement on this development is lackluster. The area is not redeveloping existing abandoned/vacant buildings with consideration to the current community. A home is our largest financial investment and to quickly devalue our home with a rushed process feels disheartening

I live in on Byron Street and am opposed to this building. I don't understand why you'd put a 7 story building at the corner of two one way streets in a quiet neighborhood. Additionally, why the drastic change in zoning? I'm not against development of the land but this current proposal doesn't make a lick of sense.

This is a ridiculous proposal. Lodged between two one way streets and totally out of character for the neighborhood. My small kids play in the area and there would be many cars driving around if this is built. I strongly oppose.

This doesn't fit within the aesthetic of this neighborhood, or any Chicago neighborhood for that matter. Frankly neither does our building but it was built decades ago (as a factory). Combined with the proposed large building at 1801 W Grace, let's not make things worse with up to three similarly scaled buildings right across the street from one another. And yeah traffic is bad enough in these couple square blocks. Pare it down please.
