After what these farmers have been through how dare the council think it would be ok to increase rates

this increase is simply outrageous farmers get little or nothing now for the rates charged and councils at this time should be supporting them not trying to drive them out of business

Middle of a drought and they do this, what a joke.

The Shire was given $ to help support drought affected farmers. They wasted it doing something that should have come out of council budget anyway. So having SAVED all that money, they can very well survive without getting their filthy grubby Thieving fingers on even more money from farmers than they already bloody do!

Talk about kicking people while their down one of the places severely affected by the drought and they want to pull this it's just not good enough.
