Tethering is only a tool to confine an animal. Neglect can occur anywhere. On a tether or in a pen.

If tethering is stopped in SC there will be more dog deaths by dogs dying in hot dog boxes during dog sport related events.

This is A unconstitutional bill if I have ever seen one. This isn't what America is about you have laws in place that don't get forced that doesn't mean make up more.

My dog hates a pen & runs several times a week off the chain. Nothing wrong with a cable/chain if you're a responsible owner!

I have a dog who dogs, chews up cables, climbs a 6ft kennel and jumps a 4ft fence where he has an acre to run. I'm forced to keep him on a chain, but he runs and jumps and loves his life on a chain. I scrub water buckets every couple of days and he has an awesome igloo dog house. He even gets a pool in the summer. Taking away tying a dog out is not fair to responsible dog owners.

As a responsible owner, I should not be punished because others do not take their dog ownership responsibilities seriously. I am agaist the anti tethering bill

Don't make sense to have dogs running around loose or in Cages. All dogs aren't nice dogs.

Voice of my apbt's I stand behind my breed, the responsibility of them. As a owner & understand what the proper tethering, & food water & shelter. Taking these working animals off chains isn't being a responsible owner. We have so much into our dogs. Let think about this doesn't matter how you keep your dog cage, house, chain etc it still BUNDLE DOWN TO OWNER WANTING TO BE OR DEAL WITH THERE ANIMALS. Pretty sure there cases where house dogs been mistreated chain dogs been mistreat sprays been mistreated. Laws for responsible owners doesn't help at all

Certain dogs need to be kept certain ways and to deny that is the real crime because only the dog suffers

A dog has more room on a 15ft chain than he does in a 5 by 10 kennel. As long as they have water 24/7 and sufficient housing they are fine.

Outlawing a form of containment containmentonpy hurts those who are properly caring for their dogs. Those abusing or neglecting their dog will continue to do so, whether inside or out, pen or chain or fence.
