In Washington State, along with many other states, tampons and other menstrual hygiene products are taxed as luxury items rather than necessities. This is despite the fact that many other items, including condoms, are not taxed as they are considered "necessities". Sign this petition to encourage Washington State legislators to cease taxing menstrual hygiene products!
I am currently compiling our signatures into a report to present to state representatives. Please email your local legislator today and tell them that menstrual products are a medical necessity. Keep the pressure on.
