I think the Council planners should come and have a look at this estate and see how bad the parking already is. Also if the perspective builder or counsellors lived in this estate they would not want this to happen either.
It's shocking it's causing stress to the people that live there already, whilst the builder is just thinking about the profit he will make.
We know there is a shortage of houses but there is land for sale where the old refuge depot was off Lower way where it would not effect anyone's life .

We do not want any more cars in any of the cul de sacs. It is difficult enough to park if you have people staying or just visiting. Construction vehicles up and down Winston Way would be difficult even during the day. It is a no brainer, No to the apartments.

The doctors surgery can't cope with the number of residents in Thatcham as it is without adding to it's problem

As a Winston Way resident I also register my objection, there just isn't space to squeeze any additional development into an increasingly traffic congested area.
Stroller Close is full of vehicles more often than not, & Winston Way is already regularly double parked making it virtually a single lane road, raising concerns about access for emergency service & waste collection vehicles. Even now some of my neighbours have parked cars in their front gardens ! Developing here would only exacerbate the problem, more so during any build. For instance, I don't see how builder's vehicles would even be able to access the site safely !
If anyone involved has any sense, this development really must not be allowed to go ahead.

I would like to confirm my objection to this development. Its is already challenging for the residents to find safe parking without the addition of more houses with not enough parking spaces created. I believe this development would cause a high number of safety concerns for residents and their families as well as difficultly accessing the estate for emergency services and local rubbish collection.

I confirm my objection to this development and it should not go ahead.! It will cause more traffic and more cars parking in roads off Winston way which are already congested and not enough parking spaces for residents who live in them. Plus there are a lot of children who live on this estate and would be a concern/worry for them with much more traffic passing through it that there might be an accident.
