A sand and gravel pit right in the middle of 2000+ homes is not COMPATIBLE!

I am in strong opposition to the Stroh Pit. Larimer County’s Special Use Review process criteria includes, among other requirements, that any proposed project “be compatible with existing and allowed uses in the surrounding area and be in harmony with the neighborhood”, AND, “will not result in a substantial adverse impact on property in the vicinity of the subject property”. Neither of these mandatory criteria can be met by the project.

My family stands in opposition to the pit. Since cancer runs in my wife's family, she does everything possible to eliminate possible carcinogens from her environment (no plastics in the microwave, no processed meats, etc.). Now she's going to be breathing air filled with particulates? I'm going to want the names and contact information of everyone who votes for this.

We can not afford having a PIT
located near our residence.
I protest even the possibility
that this could happen. People
have moved from this area
already because of the possibility this could happen.
Just look at the number of homes that are up for sale in this area now...

A lake in seven years may or may not look beautiful. But the view we have now is perfect. No pit!

I am unable to attend the Hearing on February 27, 2018 due to a work commitment. However, I am adamantly opposed to this quarry, as it WILL cause an immediate impact on the value of the single most important asset I own, my home, which sits literally feet from the location of the mining operation. Please deny the application.

Thompson River Ranch is clearly NOT a good location to create this gravel pit. The damages to the local community would be devastating in so many ways. Please search for a more appropriate (rural) location that does not disrupt neighborhoods.

Please don't put this adjacent to so many residential neighborhoods. There has to be a better place.
No on the Stroh Pit!
