Ron and I own a lot on the ridge and the proposed Stroh Pit would destroy the value of the lot to us, and for resale, and would cause us to cancel our building plans.

Lots of people will be negatively impacted by this proposed location.

Not an appropriate location for a gravel pit. Too close to 2 neighborhoods and a future school site.

This pit is not compatible with our neighborhood!!!

I am deeply opposed to the pit. This is a violation of the zoning and building regulations. If the zoning board approves it, they should be recalled.

We moved our family to Colorado for the fresh air, open spaces, and sense of community. Please don't put profit over the health and well-being of our neighbor.

Definitely not a good idea for the growing area... Will create a chaotic frontage road and accidents!

This is not about being a good neighbor, and the mining operation can last up to 20+ years with extensions and additional special use approvals. This also is not about product needed to repair and build roads. This is about meeting criteria to be allowed to use land for a different use than it is currently zoned. A gravel pit mining operation between our communities doesn't meet all the required criteria and will adversely affect natural habitat, wildlife, home values and people's health.

Please consider the residents around the Coulson proposed mining pit. Our health and well being will greatly affected if they are allowed to mine in that location.

Stop the pit

Please stop the gravel pit from going up! Protect our health, home values, and the natural habitat of a plethora of wildlife!

My wife and I are opposed to the proposed rezoning of land from agriculture to quarry operations. The timing is incredibly beyond reason - the period to mine gravel was at least a decade and 1/2 ago - not now. There are (2) major neighborhoods surrounding the proposed gravel operation. Moreover, the new Johnstown Plaza and associated apartment buildings already add to traffic congestion of the I25 frontage road and construction is planned for work on HY 402/I25 intersection at the frontage road. How can this 2-mile stretch of frontage road handle all the gravel trucks in addition to the aforementioned. Of course, I suspect those who stand to benefit ($$) might disagree. Perhaps their neighborhood might also be prime land for a quarry.

Hopefully Larimer County will favor its citizens over a private corporation!

County Commissioners, please stop the pit/quarry from opening

Please don’t make this decision purely from a financial standpoint, consider it from an actual Larimer County resident standpoint...one that YOU are. I’m sure you purchased your home in Larimer County because you loved the area and the beauty surrounding your home! How would YOU feel if this was your home/property that was being impacted?! If this was your back yard?! I’m sure I know exactly how you would vote on this issue if YOUR home/property was the one being impacted!! This is a VERY personal issue for all of us with homes directly impacted by this “pit”. This “pit” is NOT at all harmonious with the surrounding area...which is our neighborhoods, our homes, our families, our children...OUR LOVELY Larimer County. PLEASE be a resident along with us...VOTE NO...and help us keep our homes in harmony with the surrounding land!

We strongly oppose the gravel pit. We're sure it will negatively impact our property values as well as negatively impact our way of living.
