Stop speeding on Forest Road and Locks Ride

I live in Keepers Cottage, Forest Road. end of Lock Ride & corner or Braziers Lane. Also getting fed up with lack of responce to my many emails to BFC for help about the number of accidents here. I passed the first stage of being able to stand for the council so fingers crossed I'll be in a position to argue our case loudly!!!

Council must add more signs to make people aware of the speed limit.

The speed is excessive. Why on country roads where family’s and old people live. No one has to speed. Please keep us safe.

I live on Locks Ride near the junction with Chaveydown Rd, if you step near the road you are buffetted by the speeding cars

Stop racing around Ascot in general to avoid road works otherwise someone will be killed or injured all for your stupidity

I support the need for traffic calming measures along these road.

I was involved in a horrendous car crash many years ago, I was the second crash in the same spot (speeding cars). The third accident was fatal & only then did the council put in traffic lights. That life could have been saved. Force cars to slow down before it’s too late.

I totally agree something needs to be done, sadly when I have raised this with the council I have been told that someone will need to die before they will do something !!!! Craziness

We need the council to stop the speeding.

This is such a busy road, we all need to slow up, the wildlife has been there long before us

Too many cars speed on most roads but this area is used by horses and the like

As a resident it’s so sad that t Forest road has now become a fast cut through with a total disrespect of road safety to people and animals. With more and more developments off this major road something has to be done before someone’s dies in this road. It’s complete madness that someone’s life has to cause things to happen. Please please do something before it’s too late. And if you drive down this road daily please obey the speed limit.

I pick my granddaughter up from school and walk her home. There are no barriers on some stretches of the road and some cars really do drive too fast. The paths are not that wide when some big lorries turn corners

Ehen cycling along Forest Road I have been clipped by speeding cars and had several near misses, in broad daylight. Me and sevetal neighbours have all lost vats to speeding cars. The road neefs to be 30mph and speed measires put in place.

When I walk my son to school , the traffic is always way too fast on both locks ride and forest road. Horrendous speeding , I have also been overtaken numerous times on Locks ride in my car when doing 30 mph. Also seen numerous accidents at braziers lane . Something needs to change

Agree that this should also include Chavey Down road too. I am often tailgated by complete maniacs as I’m doing the speed limit and have even been overtaken several times by people speeding. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed. Speed cameras?

I cross this road and walk along it every morning with my two children and there isn’t a day that goes past that there isn’t a speeding car.! Children should enjoy walking to school not be in fear that they are going to be hit like that deer.

Lovel road should form part of this review as cranbourne school is there
