Vote NO to proposed bylaw changes, as they do not align with community values and will detract from the environment, and beautiful landscape enjoyed by residents and visitors to this amazing part of the world. Many other options exist in Shediac for trailers - preserve the environment and aesthetic value, beautiful landscape and quality of life in Cap Brûlé by voting NO to proposed bylaw changes.

The cottage communities are currently protected by a by-law to preserve their desired character and this should not change. As well, the existing by-law should be better enforced, as we have seen repeated offenders to the existing by-law, without any consequence to offenders.

Totally unfair..this is a big no...how can such a thing happen on protected Wetlands.. This would totally destroy this beautiful area of Shediac.

12 trailers on one lot is not acceptable in such a setting. The councillors should oppose such a motion as is detrimental not only to the local community but most importantly to the environement

It is a disgrace that this issue is being promoted by the council. The council is mandated to represent the residents of the community and not fall victim to favourtism of anyone group or individual. The council's approach leads one to not only question their integrity but also their obligation to represent the concerns of the community at large. A big NO to the proposed change.

No one should get preferential treatment, particularly near wetland & not respecting environmental safety. My family has owned a cottage at Cap Bimet for 40 yr as family (most from Moncton) got together every summer. Cottage owners must abide by environmental laws why should it be more lax for trailers? Also, the current bylaws should be enforced for 2 trailers on land owned by one of the trailer owners, not 2/3 trailers on land rented from the owner to the trailer renters. this is happening now at Cap Bimet.

NO to the proposed by-law. Our beach community should continue to be for the owners who pay taxes on these properties. There are enough trailer parks in the areas if people want to take advantage of them so leave our seasonal and full-time homes in peace.

Vote no on the proposed bylaw. We need to protect our wetlands. It's very difficult to understand the one set of bylaws for the regular people and the others set of bylaws for elected politician.

In addition to my original comments I wished to add the following:
What kind of place is New Brunswick that it would permit fundamental concerns about the environment and zoning restrictions to be tossed aside because of past favours and past promises? I understand that the property owners were ordered to restore the wetlands to its condition prior to the property owners "big dump". Instead of fixing that they have doubled down and are going to make it even worse than it is now. Hughie Long's Louisiana comes readily to mind. As with Long's Louisiana, I think it arguable that the lack of economic prospects in the province and this kind of thing are related and help prevent New Brunswick from being the place that it is capable of being.

Thank you for organizing this petition. I will look forward to BERC's response, especially pertaining to the proposed new zoning category's potential impact on the coastal environmental ecosystem. Environmental impact studies will be essential for an informed public discussion on this matter.
