HELP US PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT. STOP THE SPECIAL ZONING!

It is most distressing to see such blatant disregard for the environmental impacts to the Wetlands and limited precious beach front this development will cause. The long term implications are devastating and this development must be stopped.

I am unclear why this resident gets preferential treatment and is exempt from the current bylaw. Moreover, I wholeheartedly object to this significant increase on the property due to its potential negative impact on the community and dangerous precedent. Overuse and development could ruin this beautiful beach and devastate the surrounding area.

What kind of place is New Brunswick that it would permit fundamental concerns about the environment and zoning restrictions to be tossed aside because of past favours and past promises? I understand that the property owners were ordered to restore the wetlands to its condition prior to the property owners "big dump". Instead of fixing that they have doubled down and are going to make it even worse than it is now. Hughie Long's Louisiana comes readily to mind. As with Long's Louisiana, I think it arguable that the lack of economic prospects in the province and this kind of thing are related and help prevent New Brunswick from being the place that it is capable of being.

Allowing this to pass would be opening the floodgates to unlimited negative impact both on the surrounding land and the current home owners! NO!

As someone who is a cottage owner at Brule, who lives in the Toronto area but has attachments of family, friends and long history in New Brunswick I find this all rather disappointing. My advice to the council in this matter is a famous quotation of the Emperor Justinian I believe -- "Those who are truly loyal to the First Magistrate will not submit to arbitrary measurers." That means inside contacts, associations, family ties, past political favours -- all of it must be set aside in favour of the best choice for the community going forward -- and all according to principals of fair dealing and transparency. Where oh where are the requirements in New Brunswick for density restrictions in trailer parks that would satisfy UN requirements for refugee camps? It is unbelievable from my perspective. Hope for deep breaths and sober second thought.

This proposal reflects a complete disregard for current environmental considerations and a significant lack of respect for due process and community values on the part of the developer.

I have been a summer resident at Cape Brule since 1969. I am very concerned with the planned amendment to allow for 12 trailers on our shore front and wet lands. The impact to the environment and unique community we enjoy must be taken into consideration. Both me and my family are firmly against allowing this development.

I have only recently visited Brule and like the charm and do not think that trailers should be on the adjacent marsh.

I have been to Brule all my life and it would be a shame to allow trailers on the land adjacent to west Brule. I aalso would be environmentally harmful.

I visit this area and see the joy of many families enjoying this beautiful area/ beach.We have only one earth a very precious gift that we are invited to care for. Water is precious we must keep it clean,.Please think twice before making a bad decision. . to contaminate the area. Thank you for considering this request Maryg

NO special treatment for anyone Protect Wetlands

I am sick of those with undue influence being able to pass whatever changes suit them at the moment. There are significant and detrimental effects on wetlands on this property. Why are there no environmental impact studies for the development?

There are already far too many trailers in this area!

Please,please,no more trailers at the beach.area is flooded with them now. They don't pay property taxes like cottagers

I cant comprehend how this proposal was entertained in the first place! It makes no sense to continue to circumnavigate existing rules to accommodate the few. I say NO to the proposed by-law.

Definite NO.We pay heavy taxes to have property at the shore. Trailers pay nothing to the community

I live in Houston Texas and I have been vacationing in Cape Brule every summer for the past 15 years. If this trailer park development is allowed to continue, I can tell you now that annual trips to Cap Brule and New Brunswick will quickly come to an end and I will be taking my USA tourism dollars elsewhere. DONT ALLOW IT! BIG MISTAKE!

Zoning is intended to provide order and stability in land development. To change the zoning after investors have invested heavily depending on the protection of the existing zoning is treachery.. It breeds distrust and a lack of confidence .in the planning authority..

Has the DOE already agreed to make a major exception to the Wetlands Act to permit the trailer lots.?
