No more mega developments - I also believe it is a conflict of interest to have the planning board composed of developers!

Adding 300+ additional families will surely have a negative impact on the environment, greenspace, wildlife and the families currently living on the island. This large development will increase traffic on the island and add to the congestion on the bridges. Residents of the island live here because we want to be able to enjoy the greenspace, wildlife and rural feel of the island. If we wanted to live in a congested area, we wouldn't have chosen to live in this special place ....Grand Island. Stop Southpointe Development, please.

We cannot continue to build the island up without putting consideration into the infrastructure. The wait to get on the bridge to come home from work is a disaster since the tolls were taken out and a new traffic pattern developed. Let's correct and prepare for additional traffic before encouraging additional traffic.

It is not only to protect the greenspace, but the increase in families will increase traffic which will increase concerns of congestion on the bridges. Adding 300 to 400 families will have an impact on the environment. Tonawanda Cke was shut down sue to the level of toxic chemicals in the air. More families manes more vehicles means more pollution. Will the schools be able to handle the increase of student population.

Way to much development on the island as is. This will help turn this island into an over crowded suburb which is what I moved away from..

I for one am completely opposed to this development, You are creating a huge destruction to our environment and Eco system. As a Geography Major I can already imagine what the terrible aftershocks would be for the wildlife. A lot of people enjoy the quiet scenery of nature and not the hustle and noise of a city or heavily populated area as well. We already have plenty of development and more than enough residency, When focus should be towards our Blvd and filling the empty buildings and plazas and making the center of our island something people will enjoy to come and visit.
