Major disrespect to religious household in dictating what is their religious requirements. Not consulting parents or accepted religious heads of the locality.

When wearing the new scarves you can see your neck when looking up, I'd rather tuck my scarf in and nobody seeing my neck. The new scarves are poorly designed and it is not suitable for me or others.

This is supposed to be a multi cultural society and being British means we should be mutually tolerant and let people chose their faith and style of living. The school policies should take this into consideration.

the excuse for not letting the year 10's choose their year 11 jumper colours was because it's a waste of money but how are you able to afford these hideous hijabs serves you right if you get skint.

I think this is not right at least consult with parents first .school governors must be involved in this .this matter needs to be discussed in a proper way.

hair is more likely to get flammable than a scarf. all the teachers get so worked up about the headscarves but don't say anything to those who have their hair out are they fire proof or something?

why don't the teachers say anything to those girls who have dyed their hair of a different colour. the rules are clearly stated in our planners hair should be of a 'natural' colour well i'm sure purple/pink/red etc aren't 'natural' colours. you need to sort your rules out fully before conceding new rules.

the new headscarves do not cover us properly and the whole point of wearing a headscarf is to cover us fully which the new headscarves don't fulfill.
