Stop Sir John Thursby School removing muslim girls headscarf

Let the girls wear what they want please.

That's just taking the piss n racist. I think they should be allowed to wear the headscarfs. They wear alowed before and they should b still allowed in future.

This is awful Every human has the right to express their religion as they please. This is equal as our girls leave their hair loose, dye them in any colour as they wish, cut them in any size they want, and volume it as much as they want. So every hijab girl should have the same right as a non hijab girl. In my opinion hair is 10 times dangerous than hijab. Girls hair can be really really long which can be a danger and this is not taken seriously and when a hijab is at a right size they take it as a danger. This school is taking many right away from many girls. This school needs to stop this as their own reputation is lowing. I suggest the school to give the rights back to the girls.

A mainstream School should not be interfering with religious clothing' and more concerned with ensuring a high standard of teaching.

I feel no women should be told that she cannot wear a headscarf the way she chooses to wear it the whole purpose of a headscarf is cover the hair ears and neck we all have the right to cover what ever part of our body we chose to thankyou.

Wearing a scarf does no cause no harm to the person wearing or to another person. This school should respect the wishes of its community. This school should take control of bad behaviour of its student and biased feeling in its establishment. So very very sad and digusted at the rule makers. Please show some respect I this matter .

This is not acceptable. The school should show some curtosy and consult the parents and students.

Dey said one of da reason for wearing da scarves was to show 'whole' of da ties.butility wen we complain and say we need it to cover our chest. Dey sayou to wear SJT.jumper but dat doesnt show 'whole' of da tie.

I believe the school should have taken the girls view point and ideas into account in regards to designing the headscarf. Also parents should be actively involved. Their ultimatum is morally wrong.

This is not on SJT - you need to think twice before making your rules and decisions . These are our girls future and everyone has a right towards their faith and culture of wherever they come and go - whether in the community, work and especially schools!

This is pathetic . What is the reason behind a scarf = cover ur chest hair ears and etc. However this does not it shows ur chest and plus some girls hair even shows . SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS
