Utterly unacceptable. Shame on you sir johns thursby. I used to attend this school when it was walshaw and am mortified at such narrow minded and unfair treatment of young children.

I attended this secondary school & it was so diverse & we all felt as though we belonged there. This is appalling to be coming from such a mixed school & especially SJT. Nobody has a right to stop anybody who chooses to openly manifest their faith, whether it be via wearing a hijab or any other visible garment/sign representing a faith. This is outrageous!

Disgraceful to remove the rights of any woman to wear something for religious purposes. This is taking 10 steps backwards this is not forward thinking or accepting of other faiths. Health and safety rules are a front for something much bigger. Taking away freedom. Very unhappy as a previous student of the school

I am absolutely apolled by the conception of these new scarves. Girls are already wearing black (my skin colour) scarves so it shouldn't matter what material it is. I will personally donate some of my skin so that girls can extend these ridiculously short scarves
