All girls should be able to wear what they want, it's not affecting anyone else or the school. The whole point of wearing a headscarf is to be modest and putting a slit down the chest isn't very modest.

This is pathetic putting it in simple terms, the girls at the school should be able to wear a scarf that they are comfortable with considering it's a school with majority Asian

Absolutely ridiculous. Parents should be involved and have a say in this as well as pupils!

Please allow the girls in the school to wear a headscarf that is suitable to wear comfortably and one that adheres to ones faith.
I believe a discussion with the pupils concerned together with the parents should be be given upmost priority to assess the needs of both the school and the pupils attending for a mutual resolution which benefits everyone.

Dont be daft. Stopping someone from wearing an item of clothing is no worse then asking them to take it off......

Nicklaus mikaelson whatever your name is. Just wanted to focus on the remark you made. 'If you really wanted to cover your hair you would regardless the scarf' ??? What do you expect them to put on their heads in order to cover their hair then? I think you need to educate yourself a little before you state anything regarding headscarfs. Pathetic

I find it incredibly disrespectful that a family member of mine was forced to walk around school with no headscarf because she was wearing the 'wrong one'. Ignorant staff members, should be ashamed.

This is just wrong on so many levels. These young girls should be allowed to wear whatever they want on their heads to protect their modesty.

Do not agree with this because the girls from this school will feel put off to wear their hijab. I think you should re-evaluate this by allowing the students and families have a say in this.

I attended this school and wore a headscarf. I don't remember any cases of health and safety linked to it. My high school years created the independent free professional woman I am today and to think the same place that helped me achieve this is doing the exact opposite to these young girls.

The children and parents should have a right in this! The children should be able to wear whatever scarf their want as long as they wearing they uniform and a black scarf it doesn't matter what type it is, this is just very disrespectful on our culture as it's influencing girls to take they scarf off due to not having a say in any of this.
