This is messed up... You are restricting the girls' freedom and saying that showing your legs and skin is consent for boys and men to act sexually inappropriately towards them. By banning skirts you are perpetuating that treating girls as sexual objects is the norm! Teach the men and boys of your school to treat women with respect! Sometimes it gets really hot and females *need* to wear skirts.

As a highschool student with very loose dress codes at my school, I find it ridiculous to ban a staple item in a girls wardrobe. There is no significant difference in mine or anyone else's education when I wear a skirt versus sweatpants.

Teaching girls that their bodies are objects instead of teaching boys not to sexualize legs or any part of a girl is wrong. "Boys will be boys" does NOT apply to this because everyone (matter what gender) should be held accountable for their wrong doings.

Schools need to stop sexualizing young girls. If you are concerned male faculty will be distracted, they shouldn't even be at the school. Teach boys to respect girls. Don't let them think that in order for girls to be respected, they must dress a certain way.
