It's crazy to me that this is even something worth banning. Banning skirts because it's "inappropriate" and "distracts the boys" is perpetuating the idea that girls are simply objects of desire for boys. This is not an ideal a school should be portraying. If the boys are getting distracted by it, teach the boys not to be; teach them that girls are not objects of desire, things to simply be looked at, but are in actuality people too.

This is ridiculous. Skirts shouldn't be banned because a few male instructors and students can't seem to contain themselves. Skirts make you uncomfortable? Get over it. We shouldn't have to suffer because of your inability to control your thoughts.

This partition is so important. Girls do not openly sexualise other girls, girls do not openly sexualise boys and boys do not openly sexualise boys in the school environment so why should boys be allowed to openly sexualise girls? They shouldn't. If you are to ban skirts for being short and revealing then PE shorts should be banned as well for both boys and gIrish. PE shorts are just as revealing yet no one sexualises them. We can't continue to teach girls that boys education and silly teenage desires are more important than a girls education. Education should be equal. Everything should be gender equal.
