Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

Stop the madness. No one will be reelected, if you allow tents on my kids playgrounds.

Try another, safer solution!

This would only happen in liberal controlled cities. Such as Portland and Seattle!

This bill is not the answer. Look at the mess in Portland!

Please keep our streets and parks safe.

Absolutely no camping in Seattle parks. No camping in the active areas of Seattle parks. No camping in any of the inactive areas of Seattle parks. Camping on any of Seattle's public lands should not be allowed, nor sanctioned by Seattle leadership.

We need to SOLVE the tragic problem of chronic homelessness. This is not a solution. This puts our children, animals and all citizens at risk when they're simply trying to use their beloved parks. I expect my tax dollars to be used for long(er)-term solutions, not this. Completely unacceptable.

It's out of control. I've lived in this state for like 30 years and I don't even want to go to Seattle anymore because it's disgusting and out of control. I just go other places to have fun and spend my money.

Council Bill 118794 is irresponsible. The ACLU claims to be "protecting the public health, public safety, and civil rights of all people, including those experiencing homelessness." The homeless are equals with those who have homes, but why is the public health and safety of those made second to those who are without homes? Homeless need a roof, food, health care, and a sense of hope. Letting them stagnate in our parks is not helping them.

I have no idea how this could turn out favorably for anyone.

This is the craziest idea I have ever heard!!! Portland tried this and it was deemed a colossal failure!!! Keep our spaces clean and free of free loaders!

No homeless camping in parks!

I am all for helping the homeless in some capacity but not at the risk of loosing our parks to garbage, urine and feces. You don't have to look to far to see what our city has already turned into with the in flux of homelessness. What about our rights as contributing taxpaying citizens?

What Council is proposing is absurd and irresponsible.

Opening up public spaces for camping is not the way to go. Look at the problems in Portland. There is a better way to address this issue.
