Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

Time to move out of Seattle if this passes. This is completely ludicrous!

I fully support this petition and oppose allowing anyone to camp in Seattle parks.

Please don't ruin our parks. It's sad enough taking our children downtown and the thought of losing our parks too is heartbreaking.

If nothing else, this definitely needs more time to be studied and considered before making a decision that would have significant effects on our parks.

This should not happen! This will attract homeless from everywhere! This is not helping but enabling. What kind of city do we want Seattle to be? One with trash, drug paraphernalia, and tents on every corner? Where do our children play? Stop this craziness!!

Our parks should not be homeless encampments. Please open up more shelters.

Homeless people need homes, safe places to live. Our parks do not qualify as living spaces for homeless. There must be better solutions for the good of all.

I am sympathetic to the homeless situation but public parks is not the place for them.

This is a bad idea. No infrastructure to support this and it will change our city in a negative way.

Good tax paying citizens don't want our neighborhoods and parks destroyed. This is not a solution.

Please save our parks for citizens who want to enjoy them and keep them clean.

This is absolutely outrageous!

This is an appalling and truly unbelievable bill. It does NOT help any who are homeless and takes the parks and public spaces away from all the other city users.

I absolutely support delaying this Council Bill 118794 as it is irresponsible and ignores the rights of all non-homeless residents to be safe and free of potential harm while using city parks, recreation areas, and other public spaces. There must be a more humane, safe and responsible answer to this overwhelming issue.

Please stop turning our parks homeless encampment.

This proposal is both flawed and costly. The cost of this plan is almost $30M. The money used to transform parks into camps would be better spent on actual housing and services to those in need.
