Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

Stop making Seattle a slum city. Save our parks

This seems ill considered. It will not improve our city and community.

Please the city need to find different solution they can make a place that they will live and work then one have drug problem if they what became free they need send they to clinics and the rest off the people the city needs have they a place that work for live the those people stop to drug e get and trouble

This is unreal and wrong to allow happen

We have homeless friends that do not see this as a good solution for this problem.

The city parks are a product of all the tax payers in the city. The city council does not have the right to turn over ownership of the parks to the homeless and non-tax payers

I am against allowing for camping in our parks and play fields.

Please do not turn our parks and public spaces into homeless encampments.

I have a 10 month old baby and I want her to feel comfortable going to the parks alone when she's older.

This idea is absolutely ridiculous. We need to vote out the Mayor and the whole city council, except for Tim Burgess. And fire that highly paid homeless "advocate"!. Our beloved parks will be totally trashed and unusable if this is allowed to go forward!

Homelessness is a serious issue and allowing people to live in parks is not a solution. I'm concerned about their safety and my children who ride bikes through woodland park as well as the environmental impact of people living without bathrooms and running water etc...

We have to take care of the homeless. We need to find a way to do it without endangering communities or our parks. Ther must be a better way to find creative housing for our homeless community. We all need to dig deep to create safe spaces for everyone in our community.

This is so short cited and bad legislation.

This is completely unfair to tax paying citizens. Not to mention those of us with young families. How does the city expect us to keep our families safe from used drug paraphernalia, pam handling and violence? What is happening to this city?

Absolutely WRONG on many levels!

Stop this nonsense now. Parks and other public spaces are for all to enjoy, not just a few .

Why not more shelters with walls and facilities rather than leaving these people out in the cold. I am the only child out of 4 with all my teeth and a job. All of my siblings have drug problems. One is either in prison or homeless most at any given time. I do not want to lose my priveledge to enjoy my outdoors and pay the price as well for the poor choices of drug activity. I feel that my rights are being violated by not having the security to enjoy my city parks safely. I pay my taxes, patricipate in the economy and I feel I have the right to feel safe in my neighborhood.

No to this legislation. It is not a real solution to homelessness!

If this plan goes through we will leave Seattle for good.
