We shouldn't allow the homeless to sleep on any sidewalk, alley or park. Camping on any of the following should not be allowed anywhere in the city of Seattle.

I am empathetic to the challenge of homelessness and the urgent need for better solutions. However, I do not believe that this current proposal is well thought out. In its current form, I cannot support the proposal.

This is a HUGE step backwards and negation of all the progress Seattle has made to protect wildlife and natural spaces in the city. Additionally, it represents a poorly planned and patchwork response to the issue of homelessness-- the equivalent of slapping a bandage on it and leaving it to fester. Moreover, the City Counsel is apparently insensible to the needs and concerns of the majority of voters. Is it possible to impeach/recall an entire city council (with the exception of Tim Burgess)?

There has got to be a better way to solve this. Doesn't Amazon need a bunch of seasonal workers?! They get enough tax breaks already. Let's get them to do something in return.

Simply moving the homeless doesn't solve anything........they are still homeless. Making taxpayers pay for water and sanitation is crazy.

No camping in parks or other public spaces. I vote. I'm a taxpayer. I want to be able to stroll in the arboretum and not worry about being accosted, stepping on needle, or worse. I no longer feel safe to walk along University Way unless it's daylight. I can name other public places that I, as a woman, no longer feel safe.Why? Look at what happened in Portland when the same plan was enacted. This absurd legislation is NOT the answer to the homeless problem. When is the Seattle City Council going to focus on making Seattle livable for those of us who vote and pay taxes?

There us ample evidence that this bill, while providing a very temporary fix for our problems with honelessness, is a huge mistake. Our parks need to be safe and clean for kids, families, seniors, animals ans all of our futures. Do the right thing.

Our parks are no place for the homeless to camp. The easier we make it for them, the more will be attracted to our area. Most are capable of working at some form of employment to get them off the streets. The city needs to concentrate resources toward that end.

this is dangerous, do NOT turn our public space into camp-grounds, it's un-hygenic, and a huge public health and safety risk, from human waste, needles, forcing us to walk in the streets (because our sidewalks will be camp-grounds with excrement everywhere)!

Let's find a real solution to homelessness and long term housing. Using the public parks to solve this problem is simply taking the easy way out. If we proceed with this, I think we should expand public spaces to include city hall, the offices of city council members who vote in favor of this. Why just allow homeless people into our homes, and not yours?
