This is truly a terrible plan, and not thought out carefully. Let's try to learn from other cities and not duplicate their failures. Seattle is trying too hard to be ultra- liberal, and as a liberal myself, I find this extremism to be very poorly thought out.

I oppose funding for temporary, outdoor “solutions,” which leave homeless people exposed to increasingly severe weather as winter approaches. Instead, we urge you to find indoor shelter, which is available in city-owned vacant and underutilized buildings, and make that your preferred option going forward

To be clear- this is a terrible idea. Not just the first, but any and all revised versions. It does nothing to solve the problem, and in fact make things worse for all involved. Secondary, the ACLU should not be writing bills- that is what we elected a government to do. I did not vote for the ACLU!
STOP this stupidity! Camping should not be legal anywhere in Seattle.. Also, I am concerned about the RV's sprouting up on Harbor Ave now. I like the Terminal 5 idea. All out the campers should be in organized camps that are easily managed- not dispersed!
I think the City Council and city government need to start spending more time outside in our neighborhoods and parks, the rules are already not enforced.

I think that allowing the homeless to have more rights that property owners/taxpayers is moving int he wrong direction. Take a lesson from Portland, OR. and see that the real solution to homeless is affordable housing and social services. The number of legitimate homeless is distorted by the number of people who have made it a lifestyle choice to be transient. Giving them free reign to trash our streets and thrive our neighborhoods while simultaneously alienating the long term residents is a bad idea. When children don't feel safe playing at the local park anymore, you know you need to re-evaluate your ill-conceived plan.

It's a stupid idea. Why are City Council even entertaining such an idea. Record and wind storm forecast for the next two days. Av tree or limb could seriously injure these people.

This bill is being rushed through, has not been thought out and fails to address any of the real issues facing the city. It is an unrestrained advocacy of the homeless at the expense of the taxpayers and property owners of Seattle. Stop !

They do need a place, just not appropriate to be putting tents and garbage on the land int the parks. There is needle garbage in the park near me

Please, another solution that does not put our kids in harms way. I have experienced needles and violence associated with homeless in parks in another city and have appreciated feeling safe in most parks here in Seattle.
