By allowing this, our backyard will be the new 'jungle'. This is a terrible idea.

Please do not allow this destruction to happen to our parks! It did not work in Portland why would you think it would work here?!

We do not need camping in our perks for the homeless. This is not a solution. Stop pushing the homeless into our neighborhood, this is increasing crime and making neighborhoods unsafe for the taxpayers living in them and paying your salary. There is plenty of evidence from other cities that this does not work.

This is 100% unacceptable.

Let's establish/designate suitable interim/transitional camping areas, and provide appropriate social, waste disposal and law enforcement services in and around these camps. Let's NOT pass ACLU-written legislation to try an (ill-advised) experimental approach; which will only make future improvements in approach more difficult due to the legislated monetary penalties and fears of ACLU lawsuits. Wake up, city council members!

Situations like this are why I rarely bring my family to the city.

Please don't allow the homeless to camp in our parks. There are other alternatives than parks and green belts.

No to encampments. Other cities have tried this and it does not work!

Not only does this do nothing to solve the problem it plays right into the hands of those want to live and play outside the rules that the citizens of these neighborhoods follow to make their homes and neighborhoods a safe place to be. Why should I pay the taxes for places that are no longer safe for me to use and why should I be afraid to walk down my own street without being accosted.

Please do not make parks available to homeless campers. I run a small family home daycare and take the children to the park every day. If there are homeless people camping at Salmon Bay Park, I will not be able to continue taking the children to the park. The children will lose out to the homeless campers!
