Seattle government, this is a terrible idea. Safety and sanitation issues must be considered. This policy has been a disaster in Portland.

The Seattle City Council has lost their collective minds. They are So lazy they won't even write their own laws! Help those who want help and kick the others out. KEEP THEM OUT OF OUR PARKS. DO YOU EANT KIDS STUCK WITH DRUG NEEDLES? Clueless. !!

The first sweep to end all sweeps would be to get the current crop of feckless City Council members out of office.

This is not the solution we need for the issue of homeless. $52million and you are asking for us to allow people to live in parks we've just paid $290 million for?

Allowing camping in the public spaces and parks does not solve the problems the people experiencing homelessness need. Plus it has been proven with the Portland experiment, which they reversed after 6 months, it will hurt the people who do pay taxes and want to use the parks with their kids.

Stop the madness and listen to the people that have elected you!

Absolutely the dumbest idea this City Council has come up with yet....

This measure is a discrace. This is not good for our parks, communities, our children, our environment or the homeless

I disgusted by the city council's attempts to pander to the homeless population. I am a tax-paying citizen and my right to my neighborhood should count for more than a transient's right to usurp and pollute the land I help pay for.

Portland tried this and it failed. Why does Seattle think this will work? It won't. I pay taxes to use parks and I want them to be family friendly.

This is one of the worst ideas I've seen. Just letting preppie camp anywhere, without anything in the way of sanitation or safety measures? Meanwhile, where are MY rights as a taxpayer who pays for parks I'll no longer be able to use?

Call it what it is - this is illegal squatting. This is not camping and it is not a solution!

We need to provide real housing--not tents in parks.

I want our parks and open spaces for everyone, not for camping homeless people.
