Please enforce the law, no camping anywhere on public property, in parks, as well as any place where it is illegal to trespass such as a freeway median

This is not the right solution. The homeless deserve better and permanent assistance.

This Council Bill will make our city unlivable for the families and children who live here and need to be able to move safely around the city and enjoy our parks. Look at what happened in Portland!

I totally agree with Tim Burgess. This measure does nothing to reduce homelessness, drug use and related crime. Provide housing, not tents.

This is ludicrous! Stop being lazy and put your energy into revamping mental health treatment and drug/alcohol abuse programs.

Please learn from what Portland tried as a solution, don't open our parks and green spaces to tents. It failed in Portland, we don't have the money to have another failed program in Seattle. Expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

This proposed law or ordinance is nonsensical at so many levels. As the petition states, such an approach did not work in Portland for either the homeless or general public. How can it be right that one person can gain extraordinary rights to public property not available to everyone? Seems unconstitutional and amoral to my way of thinking.

This is not a solution. It is barely a stop gap measure and will only make our parks dangerous.

Not an adequate solution.

I am strongly aposed to this legislation. Public parks are a good place for kids to play but if this legislation is passed they will not be anymore

This is not the solution. Get people real shelter - homes and help - rather than relegating them to parks.

I run the parks every morning at 6 Am. Please keep them safe.
