This is not a well thought out long term solution for a growing problem that is impacting public safety in my Roosevelt area. It will breed more public opposition and will not prevent or treat the root causes of homelessness.

This is a terribly policy that does nothing to create a housing solution for homeless people

It will attract more homeless people all over the nation to Seattle in a much faster pace if this legislation gets passed. The SPD will not have enough man power to enforce the law. The parks will become campgrounds and trashy places. Home value will decrease and so will the city tax revenue. This legislation will make irreversible damage to the city!

End the illegal camping and garbage dumping.

I was born in Seattle 47 years ago and I think this terrible policy will severely damage a key part of what makes this city such a special one. Please do your job and figure out a REAL plan to address our homeless population.

This is not a safe plan for our community at all! We need a much better plan than this one, that would negatively affect so many!

This law is the height of irresponsibility from our elected officials. It must be stopped.

The people who pay the taxes that fund these parks ought to be able to use them safely. They also vote, and they're watching you.

This "strategy" has been attempted, and rapidly abandoned, in many other cities. It is fundamentally NOT A SOLUTION OF ANY KIND to our growing homelessness problem in Seattle. It will only serve to further alienate and criminalize the population. PLEASE do not allow this to come to pass!

I think you should just scrap CB 118794.

While I am sensitive, even empathetic, to the plight of thouse without a home, allowing homeless and tent city type camps to free roam in public parks, parking sterips(are you serious...?!?!), and any and all other public areas without a real plan for healthy, safety, protection, long term goals is rediculous! I am not apposed to tent cities, the defined jungle encampment, private church facilities that offer their property to provide a contained and reasonably secure living area. We definitely have an issue of homelessness in Seattle, its sad...but allowing them to sleep/live on the parking strips of private homes, parks where we'd like to have secure enough for our children to play on is not a well thought out plan. Please get a clue, thank you

The thought that this could happen sends me over the edge!

Please do not sign this legislation now. It needs to be revised from its current form, or local parks near retail and city resources will become encampments.

We live directly across the streets from the tennis courts on N 50th St. I walk with my baby and dog everyday through park, it is getting scarier for me and have called 911 several times for animal abuse, sex trafficking, prostitution, drug use. It's so stressful to not have a park for my family, it feels like we will never be safe in our neighborhood.

This is not a solution.

Kids need safe parks to play in without being scared of either needles or an addict getting mad for disturbing them while sleeping in their tents.
