Keep our beautiful city clean and green and above all safe for all.

Stop this madness. You cannot endanger the homeless population and the population of this city with a plan that can't be managed with security and facilities. The residents of this city are against this. Do not ignore the majority of the city's residents to manage the problem involving a proportionately small group.

Please see Danny Westneat's column in the Seattle Times today (10/9/16). Well-meaning as this idea may be, very recently it has failed miserably in Portland.

Not sure what anyone was thinking when they came up with this and not, say, an actual get-folks-in-homes plan. Oy vey.

Homeless people should not be allowed to take over our parks and make it unsafe for our children to play there. This is NOT the solution to a serious problem. Just look at what has happened in Portland.

Homeless issues should be addressing the real problem, not creating a hodge lodge of homeless encampments in public parks in which should not be semi permanently occupied and creating waste concerns.

We need to find a 'REAL' solution and not just slap a bandaid onto something that affects so many!

Homeless encampments in our parks is the worst idea I have EVER heard!!!!

This is a wrongheaded approach that will only enable homelessness and exacerbate the problem. Let's create homes not slums

I sent an email to the City Council and Mayor expressing my disagreement with this law. Our government is not representing the taxpayers that voted them into office but instead the special interest groups. Our beautiful parks will be destroyed by this ordinance. Anyone that believes this will do anything but exacerbate the situation is deluding themselves. If the Seattle City Council believes so much in this, they should put it up for a city wide vote at the next election.

Seattle needs to serve all citizens and provide park safety and security along with real concern for our homeless (not leaving them and others at risk in public parks)

Our kids need our parks.

Will support a recall of any member of our council or the mayor other than Burgess. Complete insanity

Put this to a vote of the people and you will see how out of touch our council is.

This is not a solution and will result in crime

This is not a well thought out long term solution for a growing problem that is impacting public safety in my Roosevelt area. It will breed more public opposition and will not prevent or treat the root causes of homelessness.
