Simply allowing this guarantees overrun. This is not an expansion of the Tent City model.

This legislation won't move one person currently living outside in homelessness, into housing. It won't address drug addiction or mental illness. And it won't clean up the piles of garbage left by current campers. What the ordinance will do is attract transient urban campers to Seattle.

This is a hastily crafted and ill considered legislation. Please consider the consequences.

Seattle parks are for all to use. Allowing homeless folks to set up camps in public spaces is a horrible, short-sighted solution. People need homes and services.

This is a horrible idea that will make neighborhood s unsafe and public property private. We all have rights for the DAY USE of our public parks. This is a despicable suggestion that would destroy the livability of Seattle.

Allowing the homeless population to dwell on public property originally designated for recreational use will NOT solve the underlying issues of homelessness. It will only further a lifestyle that is self serving, redundant, and devoid of truly contributive problem solving.

This needs to stop, increased dirt, disregard for those living in the neighborhood. These people need help and not being enabled to get away with such disregard for everyone as a whole.

Bad policy. Solves nothing.
