This ordinance is the wrong direction for our city to go in. Lawmakers need to solve problems by addressing causes. Not perpetuate problems by not providing real solutions. Start thinking about the 99.994% of Seattle who is paying their taxes and contributing to this great city. Do not take that away from us or our kids.

No tent living in Seattle period. No sleeping or tents in our parks or on our sidewalks. Emergency services are provided and no one gets a free ride...let's try that.

Seattle already has too many communities dominated by criminal activities and failed to make the Ballard RV lot forcthexhomeless a success. When will you, the city see that opening up more areas condoning illegal IV drug use is not the answer. While most homeless also suffer from mental illness the answer is not parks & more areas, but a collaborative approach to mental health treatment facilities and homes for the mentally ill. Do not destroy more areas, please!!!

Allowing the homeless to camp in our parks does not help them! It also does not help our parks. This is a terrible idea.

Homeless do not need to be in our parks, our children need safe parks to play in with out fear of garbage, sanitation issues, drug needles, our children need to see that we our providing a safe arrangement for all people. As a childcare provider and having empathy for the homeless..this is appalling and MUST BE STOPPED! STOP destroying our city and our people! Instead of bringing community together you are seperating us!

My children's elementary school utilizes a public park as their playground. The homeless there are already a problem. This will increase it exponentially. Please do not allow this.

I've been a Seattle resident for 52 years and sadlynto say, with the way things have been going, we are planning on moving out of Seattle. It is not a safe place to live or raise a family anymore.
Unbelievable that we have let this get to this point.

Do not pass this law. This is not the solution. It puts our most vulnerable population (children) at risk.

We have two little kids and we run a retail store. There are too many homeless people who camp out in front of our store everyday leaving behind needles all the time. Last week my kindergartener's school principal sent a note warning us parents that more and more needles have been found around the school that's close to a park. There should be a long term solution to decrease homelessness- including providing mental health and drug addiction. Letting them pitch a tent in public spaces will be disastrous!!!!!
