This is not a solution.
There is a bigger problem in our society.
This is only a bandaid.
Fix the bigger problem with mental heath support, education and job training.

This effort does not effectively address this complex issue. Our city and all of it's citizens deserve better.

Have we learned nothing from Detroit? This, if enacted will further the exodus of families (who pay for these parks) to escape to a safer environment.
A better solution is to set these 'approved' camps in places of less desirability which would encourage the campers to better themselves and their lot in life. Perhaps Harbor Island or other industrial area where safety and sanitation could be better addressed.

I vote NO on this proposed ordinance because it'll create a irreversible disaster for all tax paying and law obedient Seattle residents. Homeless people belong to homes, not the parks and sidewalks. They need help and shelters, not the street living wherever they want. This makes absolutely no sense.

There has to be better ways. The safety of our children is number 1. Shelters need to be available to the homeless. Not our parks.

Please do not support legislation to open Seattle city parks to homeless encampments.

This is a terrible plan and against the best interests of 99% of citizens.... who do you represent?

While we certainly need to help come up with a good solution for the increasing homeless population, our city parks are not the solution with implications for our kids and tourism. What about the Magnusen brick buildings? Any way to invest in renovating them and making them safe public housing for many?

This is a matter of public health and safety. Do not take care of our homeless this way. Everyone loses.

This is NOT the solution. We need our parks for EVERYONE. This would turn every park into a permanent homeless encampment w/o the necessary support services = a disaster

This is so wrong. Homeless in public parks is still homeless. This does not address the problem. You can say goodbye to any funding (car tabs option) if this passes. The issue will be the cities to bare - with no parks funding.

Failed in Portland, will fail in Seattle as well. This will just ruin parks.
