Please do not enact this legislation. Please learn from the experience of Portland as Danny Westneat has written about and please, please, please don't put this bill in place.

This is the WRONG solution to homelessness and will create public health and safety issues for all citizens.

Opening up our parks, is a welcoming mat for an escalated problem. Stop making hasty decisions.. I strongly believe working with and through organizations like the union gospel mission and setting regulations within the city to enforce order within the city, for those not contributing to it ,is a direction of thought needing to be entertained .

This is doing nothing good under the guise of doing something. The end result is that the homeless are still homeless but in addition our parks are destroyed.

Unsafe, short-sighted, irresponsible. Build the mental health clinics, the substance abuse clinics, and the low-income (rooming?) houses, and empower our newly trained police force to stop crime.

This will help nobody and hurt everybody. Please do the hard work of finding a more reasonable, long-lasting solution.

Find a more reasonable solution to deal with the homeless problem starting with mental health services

This is not the answer. The City of Portland deemed it a failure after less than 6 months. Seattle is proposing a 2 year experiment. This is must be stopped.
