Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

This plan should be stopped. I have worked too hard in my life to now have my property values go down hill because of campers. Shame on city council.

I do not believe this is the solution.

I am opposing the use of city parks for homeless camps. No way.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Shelve the plan. No camping in parks, schools or public right of way. Get them help but don't make it more dangerous for the public.

Don't destroy our city! If this ordinance is enacted, all Seattle parkland will be ruined for all of us who actually pay taxes. How is that fair? Give the homeless housing like Salt Lake City did. Don't ruin our parks and city.

I am signing this petition because I DO NOT !!!! believe the homeless should be sleeping in the green belts, sidewalks, or under bridges of our city. We have large lots on Harbor Island that can take large amounts of the "campers". I believe we should utilize this resource .

The filth and crime is a big concern. Also, what's to stop anyone traveling to the area to decide to camp out in the city?

I believe placing the homeless into parks used by families and children is a very bad idea.

Our HORRIBLE City & State Government must stop "Attracting" homeless populations to our area #1. Because of their careless actions the result is a BURDEN ON OUR CITY AND TAXPAYERS! They should ALL RESIGN and GET OUT! SHAME ON YOU!! You raise our TAXES EVERY YEAR AND EVERY YEAR **HOMELESS GETS WORSE**!! ARE YOU IDIOTS JUST **GOING FOR A "KICK BACK" FROM THE HORRIFIC "OBUM" DIS-ADMINISTRATION! No consideration for TAX PAYING CITIZENS AT ALL HERE! GTF OUT!!

Please do not allow this bill to be passed. I do not want homeless camping in parks where I run alone in the dark.

This legislation does nothing to address the real issues, nor does it follow best practices from experts across the country.

This cannot be allowed. It is foolish and counterproductive. Please consider your citizens and their children. !!!

We just voted $300 million for the care of the homeless. If there are those who are homeless and refuse services, it is not O.K. for them to decide that it is O.K. to trample on the rights of 99% of Seattlelites. Our parks and Greenbelts are paid for to be just that. They are part of our Seattle heritage.

Stop the madness

Please stop this bill. It will make things a lot worse.

This idea of letting homeless adults set up homes on any public patch of grass is ludicrous, and dangerous for youth who have just a little independence in their neighborhoods.

This is NOT the answer.

This has been proven not to work in other cities. We keep applying band aids. This requires more study and public opinion.

This is so completely irresponsible. It will do nothing to truly address the homeless problem and will destroy our green spaces.
