This is unreal, under what scenario does this make any sense. The rights of the homeless/drug addicts now trump those of the tax paying citizens of Seattle.

It is criminal to try to shovel this down our collective public throat. These are public properties, they are supported with public dollars, and the public should have a right to vote on this. This is not the way this land is intended to be used.

This is a national problem not just a local one. Seattle is becoming a magnet for the displaced attracting many with addiction problems. The parks must remain safe for families. The likelihood of being exposed or coming in contact with spent needles is very high. Some drug companies give bonuses to their sales people to market expensive opiods aggressively. Heroin is a much less expensive option for those addicted. Do not let Seattle be the destination for those suffering from addictions!

All for helping the homeless, but this proposal not only does not address underlying issues, it creates an untenable situation for the general public.

I can't believe the city government is even seriously considering this.

please stop the whole sale destruction of our city so failing (and failed) politicians can make a BS name for themselves before leaving the city is shambles. This plan doe nothing to address the real issues and is a PR push to make the polticos in Seattle lining their pockets.

This is unsanitary and unsafe to have these tents being allowing to occupy residential areas.

This is not the solution. We need to help the homeless but please don't sacrifice our parks!

Please consider better alternatives to this legislation. The only thing that will accomplish is pushing families to the east side, as they no longer can safely use Seattle parks.

I believe Portland provides an excellent example of what a complete failure this idea was.

I'm uncomfortable letting my kids go on the paths at the park near our house because of the human fecal matter and waste everywhere. This is NOT what my taxes are paying for.

This is an irresponsible action that would not only be detrimental to the quality of life in Seattle's neighborhoods and parks, but also lead inevitably to a backlash against the homeless.
