We must come up with a better solution than this.

This should never happen. A place where we take our children and grandchildren.
Enough is enough!

The city is already demonstrating an inability to deal with the homeless as you drive every freeway exit and underpass.

Have we not learned from Portland, this is a horrible idea and this should not be passed. Bad bad bad idea.

Look to what Salt Lake City has done for their homeless problem. No camping in our parks and greenbelts!

I saw this attempted in Portland - it absolutely does not work.

Send them back to Eugene/Springfield. There are plenty of places to camp all around Sacred Heart.

this is not an appropriate solution. Use some of our empty buildings in the city to create a 'dorm' of sorts where the homeless can be safe and HYGIENIC and the homed can also feel safe and clean. beyond the safety issue, the public health issue of allowing anyone to camp in a public park with no facilities is irresponsible and reprehensible. shame on you.

This is not a solution to help homeless people, but just a way of passing the buck.

I can't believe they're serious about this.

This plan is totally irresponsible and makes no sense, unless we want to encourage homeless from the entire country to move here and take advantage of this shortsighted attempt to help our homeless. Parks will become unusable by the general public, especially children; our homes will become campgrounds if people camp in parking strips, the cost will be enormous and the models will not be any better off!

Public review and input should be automatic on such a consequential issue. No sensible reason to rush a vote on an issue that has gone for years and likely will continue for years. Take a little more time to do it once and correctly.

Public parks are for families and recreation, camp grounds are for camping. Please do not confuse the two.
