Our parks should be for our children, not the homeless.

This is in no way a benefit to the City of Seattle. Yes, has become an epidemic, but allowing this will lower the safety, enjoyment, and desire to live in and visit the city. Allowing this will not contribute to solving the problem of mental health and drug abuse in the area.

Council Bill 118794 won't address the needs of the homeless at all, but it will trash the quality of life for everyone. This idea failed completely in Portland.

Approving Bill 118794 is the absolute WRONG decision. Homelessness in Seattle is an important issue that needs full review and input from all stakeholders. Not rash implementation of half-baked policy.

This is madness. Get these people into legitimate housing. This proposal will only result in bad news.

This is not a solution to the homeless issue. I was in San Francisco recently where homeless are camping on the sidewalks. Human feces, urine and garbage were littering the streets and sidewalks. This is a real public health concern.

Enough is enough. Councilmembers should not pass this legislation.

I ADAMANTLY DISAGREE with this Council Bill as is currently understood and presented!!!!!!! This is the most insane idea I've ever heard in my life! Stop the Seattle Council from approving this Bill!!

This bill is ill-considered and stands to make matters worse in our parks. As a frequent park user and father of a 7-year old who also loves our local park, I urge you to set this legislation aside at this time.

Do NOT turn our parks and sidewalks into homeless encampments!! I have a right to be heard too, as a senior, a woman, and a taxpayer.

By allowing this sort of behavior, we are enabling those in trouble already and inviting more and more of this type into our already infected communities. it is not our job to accommodate their problems, but rather empower them to find jobs/help and fend for themselves. Teach a man/woman to fish....

This is not an environmentally responsible, sociologically balanced bill to help reduce homelessness in Seattle. This bill significantly impacts the quality of life and well-being of all citizens of Seattle and hence all citizens should have the right to vote on it in a special election in accordance with Article V, section 1.

Please do not destroy our parks and precious city green spaces. My taxes were paid to provide these and for me to be able to walk by myself safely.

Our parks should be safe and sanitary. As tax paying citizens we pay for services to maintain and improve our city parks. Allowing people to live on these public spaces will only burden the community more with issues of maintenance and crime.

I'm all for advocating for the homeless. But our government seems to be advocating for HOMELESSNESS.

This is outrageous! We pay taxes for parks our families cannot use. Let's not turn Seattle into Detroit because everyone will want to leave.

There must be action to prevent homeless from being ALLOWED to take over public parks. We as tax payers should have to safe enjoyment of the spaces we pay for. Homeless from other states are coming here bc we do NOTHING to discourage it. New government officials are definitely in order.

I would also like encampments to not be allowed on public sideways, not just green spaces.
