The City Council has no right to vote on a measure that a majority of their constituents disagree with. They have no respect for the children or the environment in supporting a short term solution that can only lead to a much bigger problem in the future. Shame on all of you - you should be embarrassed that you can't or won't do the right thing.

The city had many shelters which provide safe place for homeless. I believe sleeping in the park or public place is unsafe .

Its discusting the decline that Seattle is in. When I want to venture into the city I no longer go to Seattle for the day.... I go to Bellevue. Seattle is becoming dirty and unsafe. The local government has distroyed our beautiful city.

Portland tried this and it was a disaster. This is not the solution to the homeless situation...it isn't even a bandaid. Please don't enact this terrible law.

This is ridiculous. DO NOT allow anyone, homeless or not, to camp in and ruin our beautiful parks!

Proposal should be evaluated in terms of potential unintended consequences.

I strongly support Council Member Burgess's position on this matter. At this point he is the only one on the Council that is lobbying for common sense.

Let's learn from what happened in Portland Oregon. This bill has been proven not to be the right action to take. I oppose this bill

This is NOT a well-thought-out proposal!
STOP and think this through!

This is just wrong. The parks of any city are to be a sanctuary for all, not a 'home' for some. How is this better than the camps that have been 'cleared'? It is a shell game now with even greater collateral damage.

This proposal is fundamentally flawed and will cause much more harm than good. There are better and more cost effective solutions backed by data and services that provide real housing solutions for the homeless that should be tried before inplementing this poorly thought out plan. Please abandon this plan.

We take our small grand daughters to these parks, please do not pass this bill! Our children need safe, happy places to play... please think about them!

Please do not pass the park camping. It's not the solution.

These will cease to be the shared spaces we pay for. Public property cannot be handed over to individuals. $50m allocated - build low income housing or make rent control happen.
